Bareboat Charter Master & SLC Assessment

* The monohull and powerboat I am working on primarily are located in Jersey City - an easy ferry ride from Battery Park City, NYC or by Path train.

The Catamaran I am working on primarily is located in Hastings-On-Hudson, NY - a 32 min train ride on Metro North from Grand Central.

In the event you can provide a vessel for the assessment/class/training I am happy to accommodate and travel, as long as it is within a reasonable commute distance and time (up to 30 miles from Jersey City/up to an hour commute by public transportation). Alternatively - I will require coverage of my travel expenses and arrangements as needed.

Students looking to obtain a NauticEd Bareboat Charter Master with SLC - International Sailing Credential - are required to demonstrate their skills during an on-water assessment. The assessment takes about 6-8 hours on board a charter boat provided by the instructor or by the student*.

The assessment will take place on board the boat while docked in the marina (or moored) and underway, as well as a written exam on navigation and rules of the road.
